Re: (CS4U) How is everyone?

I am staying out of trouble, still training dogs and knitting. Not
going much further than my class on Monday and the grocery store a
couple if times a week.

Financially things are looking up, my daughter is paying my bills and
I get gas and grocery money once a week from her and finally am
building up some savings.

Emotionally I am struggling, it was a year ago this week my ex fiancé
died of a massive heart attack. I am still working through that.
Struggling still with sugar addiction.

(CS4U) One Body

Dear God, If you be for me, who can be against me? You spared not your own Son, but delivered him up for me, for us all. How shall you not with him also freely give me all things? (Romans 8:31-32). The things you give are nothing like the things of the world. While the things of the world may entice and look pretty, they are temporary and cannot give true and lasting fulfillment. The things of the spirit are eternal and bring meaningful and lasting fulfillment. Thank you for your many, many blessings. Thank you for my family both biological and adoptive through the church of the living Christ. Thank you for your encouraging touches and miracles in the midst of pain and suffering. Thank you for teaching me through life's circumstances and for giving me strength to endure and peace for the journey. Thank you for all things, for every need you meet, and for Jesus Christ in whose name I pray Amen.

One Body

"The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ" (1 Cor 12:12-13).

Imagine with me for a moment that you have won a very expensive car. However, in order to receive your prize, you must agree to an unusual requirement. You must agree to remove one major component in that car in order to receive the gift.

Which component will you remove?

Will it be the steering wheel? Perhaps it will be the left front tire or the front seat or the two headlights. My illustration may seem ridiculous, but you get the point. Unless you have the complete car and have the ability to use all of its components, your ability to benefit from that car is going to be severely limited. The Bible says you and I are part of a larger Body - the Body of Christ. We each have our own body, but we are also made up of a larger Body that has a unique function to play. When you are not functioning as God intended, the entire Body suffers because you are not fulfilling your prescribed function.

When you function in a way that is not directly connected to the larger Body, you are only fulfilling a small portion of why the Manufacturer made you. There is a greater mission that you must fulfill. Today, the Body of Christ is fragmented and seeks to do things separated from one another. Our individual church "silos" stand alone - often as monuments to man instead of the greater mission of reaching the city.

Jesus knew the key to fulfilling His mission was getting His larger Body to work as one. "I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me" (John 17:20-21). What is your part in the overall mission? Are you fulfilling your prescribed function as designed by the Manufacturer?

(CS4U) Daily Worship - Safe - Phil Wickham, featuring Bart Millard

Another great song to minister to those who are hurting.  Hope this pours a balm upon your heart.

Safe
(Let me dwell in Thy tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Thy wings.  Psalm 61:4)

To the one whose dreams are falling all apart
And all you're left with is a tired and broken heart
I can tell by your eyes you think you're on your own
But you're not all alone.

Have you heard of the One who can calm the raging seas
Give sight to the blind, pull the lame up to their feet
With a love so strong He'll never let you go
Oh, You're not alone

Chorus:
You will be safe in His arms
You will be safe in His arms
'Cause the hands that hold the world are holding your heart
This is the promise He made
He will be with You always
When everything is falling apart
You will be safe in His arms

Did you know that the voice that brings the dead to life
Is the very same voice that calls you now to rise
So hear Him now He's calling you home
You will never be alone

Chorus

Bridge:
These are the hands that built the mountains
The hands that calm the seas
These are the arms that hold the heavens
They are holding you and me

These are hands that healed the leper
Pulled the lame up to their feet
Theses are the arms that were nailed to a cross
To break our chains and set us free

Chorus

Oh, Blessed Father, what comfort we find when we are resting in Your arms.  We are safe there.  We are sheltered and warm.  The only place known that gives us perfect peace.  Thank You, so much for Your love and care.  Be with us always, as You have promised.  We ask in the blessed name of Jesus, amen.

"But what does it say? 'The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart' - that is, the word of faith whch we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."

(CS4U) Big God !!!!!

Two men went fishing. One was an experienced fisherman, the other wasn't. Every time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish, he put it in his ice chest to keep it fresh. Whenever the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish, he threw it back.

biggod-anim1.gif (17063 bytes)biggod-anim1.gif (17063 bytes)

The experienced fisherman watched this go on all day and finally got tired of seeing the man waste good fish. "Why do you keep throwing back all the big fish you catch?" he asked.

biggod-3.jpg (12016 bytes)

The inexperienced fisherman replied, "I only have a small frying pan."

biggod-anim1.gif (17063 bytes)biggod-anim1.gif (17063 bytes)

Sometimes, like that fisherman, we throwback the big plans, big dreams, big jobs, big opportunities that God gives us. Our faith is too small.

biggod-2.jpg (17348 bytes)

We laugh at that fisherman who didn't figure out that all he needed was a bigger frying pan, yet how ready are we to increase the size of our faith?

biggod-anim1.gif (17063 bytes)biggod-anim1.gif (17063 bytes)

Whether it's a problem or a possibility, God will never give you anything bigger than you can handle. That means we can confidently walk into anything God brings our way.

biggod-5.jpg (13844 bytes)

You can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13.) Nothing is too big for God.

biggod-anim1.gif (17063 bytes)biggod-anim1.gif (17063 bytes)

REMEMBER:

Stop telling God you've got big problems.
Tell your problems you've got a BIG GOD!

(CS4U) Happy Monday!!!

So don't let anyone talk you out of your dreams.  Don't let someone convince you your dreams aren't worth it and you are just doomed.  Don't listen to negative news reports to the point you feel defeated and down. Have peace and no matter what you face today keep the faith and know God is in control.  Don't listen to the nay sayers....if you are listening to God and in step with His Word God will see your dreams come to pass.

(CS4U) Legend of the Raindrop

rainSplash

LEGEND OF THE RAINDROP

The legend of the raindrop,
Has a lesson for us all.
As it trembled in the Heavens,
Questioning if it should fall.

For the glistening raindrop argued,
By the genie of the sky.
I am beautiful and lovely,
As a sparkle here on high.

And hanging here I will become,
Part of the rainbow's hue.
And I'll shimmer like a diamond,
For all the world to view.

But the genie told the raindrop,
Why do you hesitate to go?
For you will be more beautiful,
If you fall to earth below.

For you will sink into the soil,
And be lost awhile from sight.
But when you reappear on earth,
You will be looked upon with delight.

For you will be the raindrop,
That quenched the thirsty ground.
And helped the lovely flowers,
To blossom all around.

And in your resurrection,
You'll appear in queenly clothes.
With the beauty of the sky,
And the fragrance of the rose.

For there is nothing lost,
Or eternally neglected.
For everything God ever made,
Is always resurrected.

So trust God's all wise wisdom,
And doubt the Father never.
For in His Heavenly Kingdom,
There is nothing lost forever.
