(CS4U) Daily Grace Inspirations with Joseph Prince

God Is Not Judging You

Romans 8:33
33
Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.

Some people see God as a judge who has exacting demands on man. When they fall short or when things go wrong in their lives, they think that God is judging them.

My friend, the truth is that if you are a believer, God does not bring any charge against you. Instead, He justifies you because of the blood of His Son. In fact, God's Word goes on to say that the One who has the right to condemn you, chose instead to die for you and is risen at the Father's right hand to be your righteousness! (Romans 8:34)

But what the devil tries to do is to get you to believe that God watches you with a critical eye and punishes you when you do wrong. He has deceived many sincere Christians into believing that if they have done something wrong, sickness or some other evil thing has a right to come upon them and their families. And when these things happen, he convinces them that they are suffering God's judgment because of their wrongdoings. In the meantime, these sincere Christians struggle with condemnation because they think that they are the cause of their problems.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Ever since the cross, where Jesus was judged in your place for every one of your wrong actions, thoughts and words, God no longer judges you, His child. You need not accept condemnation or evil things happening to you because Jesus took all your punishment at the cross.

So when you start to feel condemned for your actions or when you experience negative circumstances, say, "It is written: It is God who justifies me. I am completely forgiven and made righteous before Him. I refuse to accept any condemnation and I reject every symptom of the curse that I am seeing in my circumstances!"

Then, simply stand on the truth of God's Word, and watch Him deliver and bless you!

There are new patches that you use on joints these days that have an anti-inflamatory medication in them. You wear them for 12 hours then take them off for 12 hours.

I will , also be doing 6 weeks of Physical Therapy that is targeted at  my lower back. ( which seems to be the source of the neurological pain, numbness in my left leg and foot.)

Today, I saw the Gastro Dr and set up the appt for the colonoscopy.

Then saw the receptionist , and set appts/did paperwork for the Physical therapy.

Finally, I repeated my cardiac ultrasound.

On the way home, I went to the drug store, and waited for all my prescriptions.
I did not pick up the patches for my hip, I am using the last sample, tonight and will see if they will be affordable tomorrow.

The weather has been so moderate the past few days, but today was in the 50's and suppose to go down tonight.....so we may have to wear jackets again.

Crazy Busy

Be still, and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10a

Recommended Reading
Psalm 46

In his book, CrazyBusy: Overstretched, Overbooked and About to Snap, Edward M. Hallowell wrote about the moment he knew he had crossed the dark side from busy to crazy busy. It was when he lost his temper at a rotary dial phone while on vacation. His cell phone wouldn't work, and he just about went nuts waiting for the dial to return to start with every number. Then, calming down, he timed the process. The entire dialing process took all of eleven seconds. "What a fool I had become," he wrote. "I had become a man in a hurry even when I had no need to hurry."1

Sometimes we're too busy to even notice we're busy. Our daily tasks weigh us down, and we unwillingly but unwittingly neglect what's most important--our inner nourishment and our family fellowship. Plan time for rest. Build some solitude into your routines. Establish plenty of time for spouse and family. Stop being crazy busy. Be still and remember Him who rules over all.

Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake, to guide the future as He has the past.
Catharina A. von Schlegel

(CS4U) March 2 - The Unperfect Substance

Days of Praise
The Unperfect Substance
March 2, 2011

"Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them." (Psalm 139:16)

This is an amazing verse, testifying as it does to the omniscient fore-planning of our Creator for each human being. Each person has been separately planned by God before he or she was ever conceived; His eyes oversaw our "unperfect [not imperfect, but unfinished] substance"--that is, literally, our embryo--throughout its entire development. Not only all its "members," but also all its "days" (the literal implication of "in continuance") had been "written" in God's book long ago.

While modern evolutionists argue that a "fetus" is not yet a real person, and so may be casually aborted if the mother so chooses, both the Bible and science show that a growing child in the womb is a true human being. Instruments called fetoscopes have been able to trace every stage of embryonic development, showing that each is distinctively human, never passing through any non-human evolutionary stages, such as the evolutionists' theory of "recapitulation" would imply.

Not much is known about how a baby receives its soul, but the baby is surely an eternal human being from the moment of conception, with all its future days already well known in the mind of God, "when as yet there was none of them," as our text points out.

But that is not all. All those who are saved (or, like the innocents who die before birth, "safe" in Christ) and whose names, therefore, are "written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" (Revelation 13:8), are also predestined "to be conformed to the image of his Son" in the ages to come (Romans 8:29). Spring Has Sprung

I go to prepare a place for you.
John 14:2b

Recommended Reading
John 14:1-6

In one of his hit songs, Frank Sinatra sang merrily, "You make me feel so young; you make me feel like spring has sprung." He was saying that a good romance ages well. "And even when I'm old and gray," he crooned, "I'm gonna feel the way I do today."

A fine romance and a good marriage keep us young. But they also require tending. Romantic husbands figure out how to keep the courtship strong. Have you planned a special evening recently? Arranged for the babysitter? Made reservations at a quiet restaurant? Picked up some flowers? Given a tender hug? Spoken those three special words?

Just as a romantic husband spends time preparing special occasions for his wife, the Lord Jesus is planning something special for His Bride, the Church. When He rose from the dead and ascended to heaven, He wasn't just returning to the throne to be idle. Our Lord is always at work. He promised His disciples He would prepare a place for them. Remembering the eternal life He lovingly promised us is a good way to stay young--to feel that spring has sprung.

(CS4U) March 1 - The Daily Cross

Days of Praise
The Daily Cross
March 1, 2011

"And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." (Luke 9:23)

This same conversation and challenge is also recorded in Matthew 16:24 and Mark 8:34, except that only Luke included the term "daily." Except for one brief reference in Matthew 10:38, this conversation marks the first explicit reference in the Bible to the practice of crucifixion, and it apparently assumes that the disciples were already well aware of this typically Roman method of execution.

"Taking up the cross" referred to the usual requirement that each condemned man haul his own cross to the place of execution. Jesus knew that He would soon have to be doing this Himself (John 19:16-17).

Christians sometimes use this phrase without appreciation of its true meaning, thinking of some burden (such as sickness or poverty) as "the cross" they must bear. Such things can be serious problems, of course, but they are not instruments of execution, such as a cross. In effect, the Lord was telling His disciples that following Him must mean nothing less than a daily willingness to die for Him, if need be. As Paul would say: "I am crucified with Christ" (Galatians 2:20); "I die daily" (1 Corinthians 15:31).

Many disciples have, indeed, suffered martyrdom for Christ's sake, but all should at least be willing to deny themselves each day. "Taking up the cross" does not necessarily mean dying as Christ did, but it does mean consciously dying each day to the world and living unto Him. For "they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts" (Galatians 5:24), and they gladly affirm this testimony: "God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world" (Galatians 6:14). Re: (CS4U) Long day at the Medical Center

Sue, thanks for the update.  I will keep you in prayer.  I am SO glad you do not require surgery.  When you had mentioned Ortho Surgeon I was concerned.  I guess my Neuro's attitude about surgeons has rubbed off on me!  I got tired just reading all you did today!

The Unfailing Husband

For your Maker is your husband--the Lord Almighty is his name--the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.
Isaiah 54:5 (NIV)

Ruth 4:13-22

In the Old Testament, Jehovah presents Himself as the Husband of the nation of Israel. In the New Testament, the church is pictured as the bride of Christ. How remarkable that the Bible consistently presents our Maker as our husband. Just as a caring man goes out of his way to enrich the life of his bride, God blesses us with loving provisions. He will never abandon, leave, forsake, neglect, nor forget us. He constantly demonstrates His love in expressions large and small. He gives us His name. He daily meets our needs. He lavishes His blessings. He has a mansion for us in heaven.

Sooner or later, we'll be disappointed by every friend on earth; none are perfect. But the Lord Jesus Christ will never let us down. When we are lonely, He comes calling. When we feel weak, He imparts strength. When we're hurt, His wounds provide strong medicine for inward healing. When we're aging, He reminds us of the eternal life bound up in His resurrection.

Your Maker is your husband--the Lord Almighty is His name.

Let the love of husband be never so pure and fervent, it is but a faint picture of the flame that burns in the heart of Jesus.
Charles H. Spurgeon, in his sermon "Bands of Love"

"But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house." (Mark 6:4)

A town will give great honor to a "hometown boy" if he makes good in athletics or the entertainment world. But if he becomes known as an influential Christian, the hometown folks usually are embarrassed about it.

Jesus Himself experienced this. He grew up in Nazareth, and it was there that He had "increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man" (Luke 2:52). When He returned to Nazareth, however, after the early days of His ministry, "as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read" (Luke 4:16). He was already recognized there as proficient in the Scriptures, and they had heard tales about His miracles, so the invitation to speak was natural, but there were certain mumbles. "Is not this the carpenter's son?" they asked. "Whence then hath this man all these things?" (Matthew 13:55-56).

At first, "all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth" (Luke 4:22). But then, as He applied a key prophecy to Himself, and rebuked them for their unbelief, they "were filled with wrath" and tried unsuccessfully to slay Him (Luke 4:28-29). "Neither did his brethren believe in him" (John 7:5), and only His mother was with Him when He was crucified (John 19:25). As David had written prophetically, "I am become a stranger unto my brethren. . . . For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up" (Psalm 69:8-9).

Perhaps those Christians who have been rejected by their family and former friends can identify with Jesus when He said: "For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother" (Mark 3:35). We still have a family--an eternal one! HMM
