(CS4U) Fwd: : Watch out for this scam!!!!

MAKE SURE YOU SCROLL DOWN AND READ THIS SO YOU ARE AWARE AND IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO YOU!!
Toni

Watch out for this scam!

Police say that the gang usually is comprised of four members, one adult and three younger ones.

While the three younger ones, all appearing sweet and innocent, divert their "mark" (or intended target) with a show of friendliness, the fourth -- the eldest -- sneaks in from behind the person's back to expertly rifle through his or her pocket or purse for any valuables

Be on the alert!

Scroll down to see a photo from a recent attack that was captured on video. . .

This is being called the "AFLAC Scam!"

I thought you could use a smile today - something other than political email's that lead to worry and upset us.

(CS4U) Fwd: MIRACLE...!!

Probably have seen this or another version before...but such a great story.
Toni

True Love IS JUST A CALL AWAY and HIS LOVE NEVER FAILS.

A little girl went
to her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet.

She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully. Three
times, even.. The total had to be exactly perfect.. No chance here for mistakes.

Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she
slipped out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to Rexall's Drug Store with
the big red Indian Chief sign above the door.

She waited patiently for
the pharmacist to give her some attention, but he was too busy at this moment.
Tess twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise. Nothing.. She cleared her throat
with the most disgusting sound she could muster. No good. Finally she took a
quarter from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it!

'And what do you want?' the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of
voice.. I'm talking to my brother from Chicago whom I haven't seen in ages,' he
said without waiting for a reply to his question.

'Well, I want to talk
to you about my brother,' Tess answered back in the same annoyed tone. 'He's
really, really sick....and I want to buy a miracle.'

'I beg your pardon?'
said the pharmacist.

'His name is Andrew and he has something bad
growing inside his head and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now. So how
much does a miracle cost?'

'We don't sell miracles here, little girl.
I'm sorry but I can't help you,' the pharmacist said, softening a little.

'Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn't enough, I will get
the rest. Just tell me how much it costs.'

The pharmacist's brother was
a well dressed man. He stooped down and asked the little girl, 'What kind of a
miracle does your brother need?'

' I don't know,' Tess replied with her
eyes welling up. I just know he's really sick and Mommy says he needs an
operation. But my Daddy can't pay for it, so I want to use my money.'

'How much do you have?' asked the man from Chicago .

'One dollar
and eleven cents,' Tess answered barely audible.

'And it's all the money
I have, but I can get some more if I need to.'

'Well, what a
coincidence,' smiled the man. 'A dollar and eleven cents---the exact price of a
miracle for little brothers.'

He took her money in one hand and with
the other hand he grasped her mitten and said 'Take me to where you live. I want
to see your brother and meet your parents. Let's see if I have the miracle you need.'

That well-dressed man was Dr. Carlton Armstrong, a surgeon,
specializing in neuro-surgery. The operation was completed free of charge and it
wasn't long until Andrew was home again and doing well.

Mom and Dad were
happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to this place.

'That surgery,' her Mom whispered. 'was a real miracle. I wonder how
much it would have cost?'

Tess smiled. She knew exactly how much a
miracle cost....one dollar and eleven cents...plus the faith of a little child.

In our lives, we never know how many miracles we will need.

A
miracle is not the suspension of natural law, but the operation of a higher law.
I know you'll keep the ball moving!

Here it goes. Throw it back to
someone who means something to you!

A ball is a circle, no beginning, no
end. It keeps us together like our Circle of Friends. But the treasure inside
for you to see is the treasure of friendship you've granted to me.

Today
I pass the friendship ball to you.

Pass it on to someone who is a friend
to you.

MY OATH TO YOU...

When you are sad.....I will dry your
tears.

When you are scared.....I will comfort your fears.

When
you are worried......I will give you hope.

When you are confused.....I
will help you cope.

And when you are lost...and can't see the light, I
shall be your beacon...shining ever so bright.

This is my oath.....I
pledge till the end.

Why you may ask?....Because you're my friend.

Signed: GOD

FORWARD AS YOU WISH,  INCLUDING THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO
YOU.

(CS4U) Being One in Christ

Joni and Friends Daily Devotional

Being One in Christ

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

--I Corinthians 12:27

Last Sunday during Communion, I watched the plate of little crackers being passed down my row.  I took note of how the well-dressed people in the pew ever so carefully lift their 'pinkie' and aim for a cracker piece so as to not touch the others.  My friend sitting next to me reached in to get crackers for us both.  At the appropriate time, she lifted my piece to my mouth, and afterward, the other piece to hers.  The fact is I just can't take Communion by myself.  I'm forced to depend on another Christian friend to handle my bread for me.  The wine, too.

I used to feel embarrassed that I couldn't so much as pick up a cracker, but that's changed.  I've learned to look at my situation differently.  Asking for help makes me feel connected.  Interdependent.  One with others.  It's a happy symbol of how closely I must live my life with fellow believers..  I can't live my life alone and isolated.  In fact, I couldn't even survive.  Here's the point:  communion celebrates this sort of unity in the body.  It's something we have to learn and relearn every day of our lives as we humbly lean hard on others for help.  You and I desperately need Jesus Christ.. And you and I desperately need his people.

*********

You may not have any physical disabilities.  But it would be a sad mistake to imagine you can live isolated and independent from fellow believers.  Since we are one body in Christ, the hand needs the eye, the ear needs the feet, and the brain needs the heart.  You have deep needs, and you are deeply needed.  Remember that next time you lift the Communion bread to your lips.

Lord, help me celebrate my need of others in the body of Christ, rather than being ashamed.  And give me grace to make my brothers and sisters feel welcome and at ease enough in my presence to ask help of me.

Blessings,

~~JUNE 20, 2011~~

~~"A CUP OF SUREFOOTED"~~
God arms me with strength, and he makes my way
perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer,
enabling me to stand on mountain heights.
~~Psalm 18:32-33 NLT~~

I love deer. They fascinate me. I believe they're one
of the Lord's most elegant creatures. They're pretty.
 Graceful. Regal. Some, almost statuesque

One beautiful, sunny day, a few years ago, when I
could get around better, my husband Chuck , sons.....
Ron and John , and I headed to Valley Forge Park, here in
PA. for a picnic and a scenic drive to take photos.
The lush green rolling hills and tall trees took my breath
away. The best part of the trip was seeing the deer
graze peacefully along the roadside. We got up
close and personal and they didn't flinch.

My son Ron snapped several pictures, using his  zoom lens.
He got  great shots and as I marveled at the pictures
he'd taken of the deer, I remembered God's promises when
we're feeling weary and stressed -- those things that
bring us down because of life's challenges.

I ask Jesus for renewed physical and emotional
strength when I need it. He's the only one who
can give it to me. He promises to make me "as surefooted as a deer."
Christ won't let me stumble or slip. He toughens me
up and makes me confident-competent. He promises to
help us stand on mountain heights and be able to stand
firmly on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble.

What more can we ask for than that? Obviously, God
knows something about deer that we don't. Deer
generally have lithe, compact bodies, but long, powerful
legs, suited to walk, run, and climb rugged woodland
terrain; a description of the power we all need to
navigate the sometimes rugged terrain of our lives.
The good news is, God can give us that power
and He waits with open arms to share.

Receive it from Him and be victorious. His promises are yours.

Psalm 42:1
"As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God."

~~A SONG TO SINGALONG WITH AS YOU SIP YOUR TEA~~
~~"AS THE DEER"~~

As the deer panteth for the water,
So my soul longs after you.
You alone are my hearts desire,
And I long to worship You.

Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.

I want you more than gold or silver,
Only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy giver
And the apple of my eye.

Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.

You're my friend and You're my brother,
Even though you are a King.
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything.

Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship You.

(CS4U) Thought Of the Day

BE SURE TO READ THE PARABLE AT THE END !!!

A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL 5 IMPORTANT LESSONS JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX :

1.) EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK .

2.) YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.

3.) WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.

4.) IN LIFE , YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS, WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.

5.) TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.

We all need to be constantly sharpened.  This parable may encourage you to know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and abilities.  Only you can fulfill the purpose which you were born to accomplish.  Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil, always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what's inside of you and then allow yourself to be guided by the hand of God.Pencil

(CS4U) Three Little Words that make you Healthier

Three Little Words That Make You Healthier

Are you harboring a grudge? Maybe against the neighbor who sideswiped your mailbox and never fixed it? Or that ex who stomped all over your heart? Or the boss who laid you off? Saying "I forgive you" and meaning it (even if you only say it to yourself!) could have major payoffs for you, including a tougher immune system and healthier heart.

Why? Holding onto bitterness and hostility is like living with chronic stress: It releases a brew of feel-bad chemicals into your body that increase your heart rate, blood pressure, stomach acids, muscle tension and inflammation-triggering compounds. None are good, but the inflammation's worst. It encourages plaque buildup in your arteries, which cause heart attacks, impotence, wrinkles and strokes.

By contrast -- this is news, gang -- true forgiveness bolsters levels of T-cells. They're your immune system's crucial warrior brigade and battle viruses and other dangerous invaders. That's not all. Letting go of big grievances helps fight depression and anxiety, eases the toll of stress and can even relieve chronic pain.

So how do you get over a big hurt? It isn't about pretending that you weren't treated badly, and you don't have to become best buds with someone who did you wrong. Like we said, you don't even have to tell the other person you're over it. Start by recognizing that holding a grudge hurts you, not them. Whenever you find yourself tensing up about it, take some deep, calming breaths and move on. If it takes a while, fine. The person you're letting off the hook is you.

The YOU Docs, Mehmet Oz and Mike Roizen, are authors of "YOU: On a Diet."

(CS4U) PICTURE THOUGHTS

Experience can't prepare us for the ramifications of a new
change. But, the trust in friends, and our faith in the spiritual
process of life can and will see us through whatever comes.
God will usually try and get your attention most every day, to direct your energies
to make the most of your special talents. Do be aware.
We all can think of the times - perhaps only yesterday when we listened to a friend
in need, or finished a task that was nagging at us. Maybe we made an appointment to begin
a project we've been putting off. Success is taking positive
action, nothing more ....
Every person, and every situation can add to your success!
Your attitude also can help someone succeed ....
