Subject: (CS4U) How we are doing

Hello family, wanted to jump in here for a couple of minutes to let you know how the sale is going. We have sold a number of furniture and things are going ok. It is hard for us all like when someone bought the rocker Mom rocked all the grand kids on that made a few of us cry. We all know it's just stuff, but as you all know when you look at certain things it brings back memories good ones for sure. The weather is terrible hoping Sat. That it will be better. The for sale sign went up in the yard as well and that's something you never think you WIll see happen. It's all bittersweet. Dad's brother Carl is coming and we are having a cookout on Sunday. Guess that will be the last big memory we will have in the house.
Could us prayer over the family that all goes well and we can GEt rid of it all, that tempers would stay in check and that the house sells quickly.

God bless you all in whatever situation your in at this time. Love you all, Bren

(CS4U) Prayer for our Outreach this week

This week, our congregation has chosen a development called Cedar Cove to invite to service for Easter Sunday.
This afternoon, Steve and I will be walking to 30 homes talking, and  leaving bags inviting families to worship.

I am asking that you will pray with all of us this week that out outreach efforts will fall on fertile ground. All of our lives are like a finely woven tapestry.......there is no way that we can tell directly how the threads will blend together as we work, we just have to have faith that the Lord (who is our master weaver) knows exactly where our efforts are needed.

My grandaughter, Amber asked me if I was sure that I could make the walk to 30 houses, I told her that I figure the Lord will take care of my endurance, and my partner is a strong young man in his 20's. If I need to I am sure that I can hold his arm.

I am excited to be an active part of this outreach.
More news later tonight or first thing in the am if I am overly tired from the jaunt.

Hugs
Sue

PS. When Dakota saw my bags, she announced,"those are the bags that we put together in G.A.'s, there are 10 bags in each batch.".....another thread in those tapestries this time , done by the 4-6th grade girls on Wednesday night..

(CS4U) Surrender

RISE AND SHINE CHRISTIAN SERVICES

April 18, 2011

Discover yourself to reclaim your destiny

Meditations for your quiet moments

Surrender

One of the great leaders of the twentieth century was Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade. Through the Four Spiritual Laws tract and the Jesus film (seen by over four billion), more than 150 million people were won to Christ. When asked why God had used him so effectively, Bill replied, "When I was a young man I made a contract with God. I literally wrote it out and signed my name at the bottom. It said, 'From this day forward I am a slave of Jesus Christ.'" Picture yourself chained like a slave to an oar, rowing to the drumbeat of a galley master till the day you die–that's surrender!

Surrender isn't just the best way to live–it's the only way! All other approaches lead to frustration. The Bible calls surrender "your reasonable service" Romans 12:1. Your wisest moments will always be those when you say yes to God. Sometimes it takes years, but eventually you discover that the greatest hindrance to God's blessing in your life...is you. You cannot fulfill His purposes while you're focusing only on your own plans and self-interest. If God is going to do His deepest work in you, it will begin with surrender. So give it all to God: your past regrets, your present problems, your future ambitions, your fears, your dreams, your weaknesses, your habits, your hurts and hang-ups. Put Jesus in the driver's seat, and take your hands off the wheel. Don't be afraid; nothing that is under His control can ever be out of control. Surrendered to Christ, you can handle anything life throws at you.
