Let Your Light Shine

 

"In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:16

 

The Bible encourages you to live in a way that lets other people understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus. What kind of light have you been giving off? Hopefully, you've been a good example for everybody to see. Why? Because the world needs all the light it can get, and that includes your light, too.

I love the old hymn, "What a friend we have in Jesus." No truer words were ever penned. Jesus is the ultimate friend and savior of mankind. Christ showed enduring love for you by willingly sacrificing His own life so that you might have eternal life. As a response to His sacrifice, you GET to love Him, praise Him, and share His message of love and salvation with your family, neighbors and with the whole world.

Do you seek to be a glowing follower of Christ? Then let your light shine!!!!

 

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank and praise You for Your Son Jesus Christ who is the Light of the world. He is my Lord and Savior, my ever-present source of joy and comfort. Empower me by Your Holy Spirit to share His Good News with all who cross my path and to share His love with all who need His healing touch. I pray this in Jesus' Name. Amen
