Grab a cup of tea and sit back and enjoy my latest tut.... My tutorials are not copied from any other tutorial and any resemblance is not on purpose they come from me playing around in Paint Shop and things that I have learned from many over the years. From doing other tutorials and taking some classes. I want to thank all I have learned from and that I am still learning from.

PSP Tube or Mist

This was created using Paint Shop Photo Pro x3 but should work in other versions of PSP as well

Incredimail Letter Creator

Getting ready
Open your Tube in PSP Shift D Duplicate Close Original
Place Mask in the Mask folder.

Note: ( We will be making a side border stat in several steps).


 

Ok lets get started on the Stat.
 
All settings remain the same unless noted.

 

 
 
1. Tube
Image/ Resize
Width: No more Than 275
Height: No more Than 350
 
2. Adjust / Sharpen
If needed
 
3. Dropper Tool
Choose a Dark/Med Color for Background color palette.
Choose a Light/Med Color for Foreground Color palette.
 
4. Minimize tube.
 
5. File/ New
Width: 100
Height: 100
Raster Background.
Transparent: Checked
 
6. Flood Fill Tool
Match Mode: None
Tolerance: 0
Blend Mode: Normal
Opacity: 100
Flood Fill with Background Color.
 
7. Layers/ New Raster Layer.
 
8. Flood Fill Tool
Flood fill with Foreground Color.
 
9. Layers/ Load/SaveMask/ Load Mask from disk
Mask: Vix_Mask269
Source luminance
Fit to Canvas: Checked
Invert transparency: NOT Checked
Hide all mask: Checked.
 
10. Layers/ Merge Group.
 
11. Effects/ 3D Effects/ Inner Bevel

15. Rename this image: tile1
 
16. Minimize
 
17. File/New
 
18. Flood Fill Tool
Flood Fill with: Foreground Color.
 
19. Layers/ New Raster Layer.
 
20. Flood Fill Tool.
Flood Fill with :Background Color

28. Edit/ Copy
 
29. File/ New
Width: 106
Height: 424
Note: (these must be this width and height to get our tiles to fit correctly).
We will call this Main Canvas.
 
30. Edit/ Paste/Paste as New Layer.
 
31. Move Tool.
Using your arrows on your keyboard move tile to the top, be careful not to go over.
 
32. Tile1
 
33. Edit/ Copy.
 
34.  Main Canvas.
 
35. Edit/ Paste/ Paste as New Layer.
 
36. Move Tool
Again using your arrows on your keyboard move up..position right below tile 2.
 
37. On your Layers Palette
Go to Raster 2 that would be your tile2.
 
38. Layers/ Duplicate
 
39. Move Tool
Using arrow keys on keyboard Move down just below tile1.
 
40. On your Layers Palette
Go to Raster 3 that would be your tile1
 
41. Move tool
Using arrow keys on keyboard Move down below last tile.
 
Note: ( you should have something like image below).
 
42. Layers/ Merge Visible.
 
43. Image/ Canvas Size
Lock aspect ratio: NOT Checked
Width: 350
Height: 424
Placement: Left Center arrow.
 
44. Effects/ 3D Effects/ Drop shadow
Shadow on New Layer: Checked.
 
45. Effects/ Image Effects/ Seamless Tiling.
Edge: Checked
Vertical: Checked.
 
 
46. Layers/ New Raster Layer.
 
47. Layers/ Arrange/ Send to Bottom.
 
48. Flood Fill Tool.
Flood Fill with Foreground Color
 
49. Layers/ Load/Save Mask/ Load mask from disk.
 
50. Layers/ Merge/ Merge Group.
 
51. Effects/ 3D Effects/ Inner Bevel.
 
52. Effects/ 3D Effects/ Drop shadow.
Shadow on New Layer; NOT checked
 
53. Move Tool.
Move your design in to the left like image below.
 
 
54. Image/ Canvas size
Width: 2300 or your preference
 
55. Layers/ New Raster Layer.
 
56. Layers/ Arrange/ Send To Bottom.
 
57. Now change your Foreground Color to pattern.
Using ether tile1 or tile 2
Angle: 0
Scale: 50
 
58. Flood Fill tool.
Flood fill with pattern.
 
59. Layers/ New Raster Layer
 
60. Flood Fill Tool.
Flood fill with Background Color.
 
61. Lower the opacity of this layer till your pattern shows and is text friendly.
 
62. Adjust/ Add/Remove Noise/ Add Noise
Uniform: Checked
Noise%: 5
Monochrome: Checked.
 
63. Layers/ Merge Down.
 
 
64. Layers/ Merge Visible.
 
65. Tube.
Edit/ Copy.
 
66. Back to Main Canvas
Paste/ Paste as New Layer.
 
67.  Move Tool.
Move tube to left where you would like it.
 
68. Effects/ 3D Effects/ Drop shadow.
Blur: 12.00
Shadow on New Layer: NOT checked.
 
69. You may Now add any text, accents, or watermarks.
 
70. File/ Export/ JPEG Optimizer
Set Compression Value to 25
 
Finally that's it take to letter creator and put together.
