Well, have you got your chips and dip and Bud all ready to go? It's going to be a big day this Sunday. But there may be a lot more riding on the line than just the couple of bucks you have in the office pool. It turns out that if your team loses this Sunday it will not only hurt your pride, but maybe your heart, too. A study just published in the journal Clinical Cardiology found that following a home team loss, women had a 27% increase in all circulatory deaths, and men had a 15% increase. The authors speculate that the husband's negative reaction to a loss may have actually spilled over to the wife and added to her already existing negative emotions. Previous studies in Europe found more heart problems during the 2006 World Cup, too. Here's an idea, after the game why don't you relax and spend a few minutes at www.AlaskaHealthCruise.com Just thinking about all the beauty and splendor that we're going to enjoy on our cruise this July is bound to make you feel better. Scientists have known for some time that stress and emotions, especially negative ones, can contribute to heart problems. Or maybe it's just all the chips and dip and Bud.
