What a wonderful day the Lord has given us! With all its trials, tribulations, heartaches and hurts, there is still His joy, His peace and His love. I know what some of you are going through. I know the pain you deal with on a daily basis. Pain of the body and pain of the heart. But God is gracious in all His dealings with us. He is there with arms wide open. Come to Him, dear ones. Bring your cares and lay them at His feet. Let Him fill you with a new song! Give Me Words to Speak (The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. Isaiah 50:4) Calloused and bruised Dazed and confused My spirit is left wanting something more Than my selfish hopes And my selfish dreams I'm lying with my face down on the floor Crying out for more Crying out for more Chorus: So give me words to speak Don't let my spirit sleep 'Cause I can't think of anything worth saying But I know that I owe You my life Give me words to speak Don't let my spirit sleep Every night, every day I find that I have nothing I can say So I stand here in silence awaiting Your guidance I'm wanting only Your voice to be heard Let them be Your words Let them be Your words Chorus I just don't understand this life that I've been living I just don't understand (2x) I just don't understand these lies that I've been believing I just don't understand (2x) Chorus 2x Give me words to speak Don't let my spirit sleep I know, I know that I owe You my life Owe my life Owe my life I know that I owe You my life Owe my life My life Father, we come to You tired, broken, worn down and ask for Your refreshing word. Living in this world is hard and when we live godly it just gets harder! We don't belong here. We belong with You, but until that time when You call us home, this is it. You have given us Your Spirit, let Him fill us like a holy fire, giving us spiritual energy to live a life that is pleasing to You. We can't do it on our own. We need You, oh, how we need You. |
