(CS4U) Hebrew Word of The Day


Amun (uh moon)


Hebrew Translation: אמון
 א aleph, gives the uh, almost ah, sound
מ mem, gives the letter m sound
ו vav, gives the oo sound
ן nun (noon), gives the letter n sound, at the end of the word (remember Hebrew is read right to left) it is written as a "final nun"

There are other letters that also have a "final"  form:  notice the kaf and khaf, mem and mem, nun and nun, pei and fe , tzadei and tzadei.
