(CS4U) The Journey

 

The Journey   "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6   The journey of life takes us through many peaks and valleys. When we reach the mountaintops, we find it easy to praise God and to give thanks. As we reach the crest of the mountain's peak, we trust God's plan. But, when we find ourselves in the dark valleys of life, when we face disappointment and despair, it is so much more difficult to trust God. But, trust Him we must. As Followers of Jesus Christ, we can be comforted: Whether we find ourselves at the top of the mountain or the darkest depths of the valley, God is there. And, we Christians have every reason to live courageously. After all, Christ has already won the ultimate battle on the cross at Calvary. Still, even dedicated Christians may find their courage tested by the inevitable disappointments and tragedies that occur in the lives of believers and non-believers alike. The next time you find your courage tested to the limits, lean upon God's promise. Trust His Son. Remember God is always near and that He is your protector and your deliverer. When you are worried, anxious, or afraid, call upon Him. God can handle your troubles infinitely better than you can, so turn them over to Him. Remember that God rules both mountaintops and valleys – with unlimited wisdom and love.   Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, I will trust You and seek Your will for my life. You have a plan for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future. Help me to discover your plan for me and to live it out through the Holy Spirit's guidance and strength. I pray this in Jesus' Name. Amen
